摘要： Bonded fluff structures and a method for producing such bonded fluff structures in which a pulp sheet having a material suitable for producing fluff and a heat activatable fiber material is fiberized to produce a mixture of fluff and heat activatable fibers. The mixture is contacted with a hot air stream, heating the heat activatable fibers to an activation temperature. The resulting heated mixture is then deposited onto a forming structure, forming a bonded fluff/fiber composite matrix structure.

摘要： A three-dimensional nonwoven web having a regional, bulk density of less than 0.04 grams per cubic centimeter, a top-side base surface that defines an x,y-plane and at least one macroscopic surface feature extending out of the x,y-plane wherein a macroscopic surface feature is characterized as a feature having an apex that extends at least about 1 millimeter above the x,y-plane of the top-side base surface is provided. The macroscopic feature maintains a height of at least 1 millimeter above the x,y-plane of the top-side base surface under a 1.2 kPa load (Pf ) and results in contact of an object resting on the macroscopic feature such that the percent contact area of the nonwoven web with an article resting on the macroscopic surface feature at a 1.2 kPa load (Pf ) is less than 50 percent of the bulk area of the nonwoven web supporting the article.

摘要： The present invention relates to an absorbent article for absorbing fluids and exudates, such as urine. More particularly, the present invention relates to absorbent garments which are configured to absorb body exudates while also helping to reduce the relative humidity in the environment of the article, to reduce skin-exudate contact and to reduced undesired skin hydration. The present invention relates to an absorbent article having a front waist section, a rear waist section, and an intermediate section which interconnects said front and rear waist sections. One embodiment of the absorbent article generally includes: a topsheet having a body-facing surface; a backsheet; an absorbent; and a resilient material positioned between topsheet and the backsheet. The resilient material creates at least one contour which promotes movement of fluid away from one region of the article to another region of the article. The contour of the resilient material desirably creates a hill-like structure.

摘要： There is provided a fully elastic, breathable, barrier fabric comprising a nonwoven web layer of fibers, where the web has a hydrohead of at least 4 mbar, a basis weight of less than 68 gsm and which is made from an elastic polyolefin. If the fabric is a laminate it may be an SMS, SBL or NBL laminate. This fabric is particularly well suited to use as a containment flap for personal care products such as diapers, incontinence products and feminine hygiene products and infection control products. The fabric may also be used as a liner in personal care products.

摘要： An absorbent article includes a vapor permeable backsheet, a liquid permeable topsheet positioned in facing relation with the backsheet; and an absorbent body located between the backsheet and the topsheet. The absorbent body may include multiple zones of high air permeability or may include materials which provide improved air exchange after being wetted. The absorbent article may also include a ventilation layer between the absorbent body and the backsheet and a surge management layer between the absorbent body and the topsheet. The article exhibits improved air exchange within the article during use. As a result, the article exhibits substantially reduced levels of hydration of the wearer's skin when in use which renders the skin less susceptible to the viability of microorganisms.

The inner nonwoven filament layer serves as a dampness inhibitor which reduces or prevents perceived dampness on the external surface of the outer cover by lowering thermal conductivity between the absorbent core and the outer cover surface.
