    摘要: In a road lighting device capable of illuminating a road and a sidewalk, the main optical axis of a lamp unit is directed toward the traveling direction of a traffic lane on the road lighting device side. The lamp unit is set so that the maximum luminous intensity of emission light is obtained in the range of 10 to 30 degrees downward from the horizontal line. An information acquisition unit may acquire information indicating whether or not a pedestrian's improper crossing is likely to occur in the situation, which is judged based on information correlated with the traffic situation around the place where the road lighting device is installed. A light distribution control unit may control light distribution of the lamp unit based on information acquired by the information acquisition unit.
