The invention concerns a method for preparing a solid composite electrolyte consisting of at least a compound of the BIMEVOX family characterised in that it comprises: a) at least a step which consists in preparing a mixture of one or several compounds of the BIMEVOX family with one or several chemically inert compounds; b) at least a step which consists in compacting the mixture resulting from step a); c) at least a sintering step during which the temperature reaches, for a non null time interval, a value higher than the optimal temperature for sintering said compound of the BIMEVOX family.

The invention concerns a method for separating oxygen from a mixture of gas containing said oxygen, using an electrochemical cell with solid electrolyte, characterised in that said cell comprises a homogeneous structure consisting of one or several BIMEVOX derivatives, with reversible and self-adaptive dynamic electrodes generated 'in situ' and at least two current collectors. The invention also concerns the electrochemical cell for implementing the method and its applications.
