Utilisation notamment pour protéger contre la corrosion les parois intérieures en métaux ferreux ou à base de ciment des canalisations d'eau.

According to this process, lime is added to the water being conveyed in a quantity capable of conferring anti-incrustation properties on it. Before being introduced into the saturator (S), the water taken from the pipe is mixed in a decarbonizer (D) with a solution free of total CO2 and charged with chalk from the saturator (S), to permit virtually complete elimination of the total CO2 in the decarbonizer (D) by precipitations of CaCO3. Use in particular to prevent corrosion of the ferrous metal or cement-containing inner-walls of water pipes.

A binder composition for making a bluestone-like building material, wherein the aggregate is prepared by crushing rock and the binder uses water and cement. The composition is characterised in that the binder includes particles of the crushed rock used to produce the aggregate and in that the binder uses a cement comprising: clinkers particularly consisting of quicklime, silica, alumina, iron oxide and magnesia and forming 36-57 % of the mass of the cement; a slurry particularly consisting of quicklime, silica and alumina and forming 15-27 % of the mass of the cement; pozzuolanas made from a sedimentary silica-alumina-lime rock and forming 25-36 % of the mass of the cement; and fly ash (fillers) forming 0.1-5 % of the mass of the cement.
