摘要: An HVAC system (100) includes a compressor (106a), condenser (108a), and evaporator (124a). A sensor (114a, 118a, 132a, 136a) measures a value associated with the refrigerant in the condenser or the evaporator, and a controller (160) is communicatively coupled to the compressor and the sensor. The controller determines, based on an operational history the compressor, that pre-requisite criteria are satisfied for entering a sensor validation mode. After determining the pre-requisite criteria are satisfied, an initial sensor measurement value is determined. Following determining the initial sensor measurement value, the compressor is operated according to a sensor-validation mode. Following operating the compressor according to the sensor-validation mode for at least a minimum time, a current sensor measurement value is determined. The controller determines whether validation criteria are satisfied for the current sensor value. In response to determining that the validation criteria are satisfied, the controller determines that the sensor is validated.

摘要: A compressor system includes a first compressor and a second compressor. A common equalization line fluidly couples the first compressor and the second compressor and provides a single path for passage of fluids between the first compressor and the second compressor. An obstruction device is disposed in the common equalization line. Responsive to one of the first compressor and the second compressor being deactivated while the other of the first compressor and the second compressor remains active, the obstruction device is in a closed configuration. When in the closed configuration, the obstruction device prevents flow of fluid between the first compressor and the second compressor. Prevention of fluid flow between the first compressor and the second compressor causes at least minimum prescribed fluid levels to be maintained in the first compressor and the second compressor.

摘要: A method of operating a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning ("HVAC") system (100), the HVAC system (100) comprising a first portion (145a) of evaporator circuits (145) and a second portion (145b) of evaporator circuits (145), the first portion (145a) of evaporator circuits (145) being adapted to receive refrigerant from a first refrigerant path and the second portion (145b) of evaporator circuits (145) being adapted to receive the refrigerant from a second refrigerant path. The method comprises determining, by a controller (190) of the HVAC system (100), a first value associated with the HVAC system (100), wherein: the first value is calculated based on a speed of an air blower of the HVAC system (100) and a total capacity of the HVAC system (100) and the air blower is operable to push a minimum volume of air in to the enclosed space. The method further comprises upon determining that the first value of the HVAC system (100) exceeds a cooling threshold or that the first value of the HVAC system (100) exceeds a dehumidification threshold, instructing, by the controller (190), a valve (180) of the HVAC system (100) to close such that refrigerant cannot flow to the first portion (145a) of evaporator circuits (145) of the HVAC system (100).
