摘要: The invention relates to a method for partial reduction of SO2, wherein a SO2 stream, an oxidant and a gaseous fuel are fed to a burner and reacted in a flame reaction. The burner comprises at least one supply opening for the SO2 stream, at least one supply opening for the oxidant and at least one supply opening for the gaseous fuel, and a burner head (1) with first injection sets (7, 8) and second injection sets (9). First injection sets (7, 8) are arranged in a first section (4) of the burner head (1) and second injection sets (9) are arranged in a second section (5) of the burner head (1). The stoichiometric ratio of SO2, fuel and oxidant supplied through the first injection sets (7, 8) is different from the stoichiometric ratio of SO2, fuel and oxidant supplied through the second injection sets (9). 摘要: The present invention relates to a method of combusting hydrogen sulphide with oxygen by means of a burner (20) and to such a burner (20), the outlet of which being connected to a furnace (40) which is heated by a burner flame, said method including the step of preheating the furnace (40), wherein during the preheating step, a first fuel gas is supplied through a first port (25) of the burner, the first port (25) being connected to a plurality of first tubes (21) extending to the burner outlet, a first oxidant gas is supplied through a second port (26) of the burner, the second port (26) being connected to a plurality of second tubes (22) spaced from and coaxial with the first tubes (21), and a second oxidant gas or second fuel gas is supplied through a third port (27) of the burner, the third port (27) being connected to a plurality of third tubes (23) spaced from and coaxial with the second tubes (22), and wherein during the normal operation of combusting hydrogen sulphide with oxygen, a third fuel gas is supplied through the first port (25) and the first tubes (21), a third oxidant gas is supplied through the second port (26) and the second tubes (22), and a fourth fuel gas is supplied through the third port (27) and the third tubes (23).

摘要: The invention relates to a method for operating a burner used in the thermal step of a Claus process. The burner comprises at least one combustion air port, at least one oxygen port, and at least one fuel port. The oxidant flow is made up of an oxygen flow of technical pure oxygen with an oxygen concentration of at least 90 vol-%, preferably at least 99 vol-%, and if necessary of a second gas flow, and it is determined whether the oxygen flow is below a pre-set minimum flow and if the oxygen flow is below a pre-set minimum flow the air flow is split into a main air flow and a side air flow and the oxygen flow is combined with the side air flow creating an oxygen-enriched side air flow which is fed to the oxygen port.
