摘要: The invention relates to a multi-coated interference pigment consisting of a lamella-shaped carrier material which is coated with alternating metal oxide layers with a high and low refractive index, wherein the difference between the respective refractive indexes is 0.1. The inventive pigment can be obtained by hardening and by hydrolysis of an aqueous solution of a titanium compound which can be thermally hydrolyzed on a continuous strip, by separating the layer thus arising, by alternately coating the titanium dioxide lamellas thus obtained with a metal oxide hydrate with a high refractive index and a metal oxide hydrate with a low refractive index, by hydrolyzing the corresponding water-soluble metal compounds after or without intermediate drying in a wet process, by separating, drying or optionally calcinating the material thus obtained.

摘要: Single or multi-coat titanium-containing nacreous pigments consisting of iron titanate and possibly titanium and/or iron oxide, obtainable by solidifying an aqueous solution of a thermally hydrolysable titanium compound on an endless belt, removing the layer formed, coating the titanium dioxide platelets after or without intermediate drying in the wet process with iron oxide, drying and calcining the material obtained in an oxidising or reducing gas atmosphere at at least 500 °C, in which the thicknesses of the titanium dioxide and iron oxide layers are adjusted in such a way that either the stoichiometric ratio between iron oxide and titanium dioxide needed for pseudo-brookite or ilmenite formation is obtained or there in an excess of iron oxide or titanium dioxide.

摘要: The invention relates to a multi-coated interference pigment consisting of a transparent carrier material which is coated with alternating metal oxide layers with a high and low refractive index, wherein the difference between the respective refractive indexes is 0.1. The inventive pigment can be obtained by alternately coating the transparent carrier material with a metal oxide with a high refractive index and a metal oxide with a low refractive index in a wet process by hydrolysis of the corresponding water-soluble metal compounds, by separating, drying and optionally calcinating the pigment thus obtained.
