摘要: A fuel feed device installation structure in which a set plate on which the fuel feed device is installed is not dissolved nor deteriorated by exposure to snow melt salt sprayed in winter in cold regions or sea salt particulate contained in salty wind in coastal districts, the fuel feed device comprising a fuel pump (2) which is disposed in a fuel tank and force-feeds fuel to an internal combustion engine, the set plate (3) made of synthetic resin which supports the fuel pump (2) and clogs an opening hole (1a) to the fuel tank (1), a gasket (5) which keeps an air-tightness between the set plate (3) and the fuel tank (1), and a plate (4) which holds the set plate (3) to the fuel tank (1), wherein protective members (6, 8) made of those materials which do not react with, or is not dissolved nor deteriorated by, a product generated by a chemical reaction between the plate (4) and the set plate (3) are inserted between the plate (4) and the set plate (3).

摘要: In a system in which a housing including a fuel passage is formed by heat welding joining end faces of an upper housing and a lower housing made of a synthetic resin, the melted end portion in the welded portion is pushed out and comes to form a flash. The flash varies in size and shape depending upon the state of melting of the joining end faces and the amount of the portion moved due to the pressing, and the finished housing varies in length. The flash protruding at a portion serving as a fuel passage makes the passage area narrow and increases resistance of the passage, and a weak portion in the flash sometimes drops due to fatigue fracture caused by pulsation of fuel flow. Contact ribs 3b, 13b facing each other at a portion lower than the joining end faces 3a, 13a are provided with space grooves 3c, 13c interposed along the joining end faces 3a, 13a of the upper housing 3 and the lower housing 13, and the joining end faces are melted and pressed so that the contact ribs 3b, 13b of the upper housing 3 and the lower housing 13 may come in contact with each other, thus length of the housing 11 being determined by the contact ribs 3b, 13b. The flash 21 is caused to stay in a staying space 22 closed by the contact ribs 3b, 13b at the time of completing the heat welding.

摘要: A fuel supply apparatus which comprises a fuel pump (4) provided in a fuel tank (1) for pressure feeding a fuel to an injector, a pressure regulator (6) provided in the fuel tank (1) for discharging a surplus of the fuel from the fuel pump (4) into the fuel tank (1) as a surplus fuel through a flow passage to the injector to regulate fuel pressures, a fuel filter (5) provided upstream of the pressure regulator (6) in a flow passage, which connects the fuel pump (4) to the pressure regulator (6), and receiving therein a filter element (12) for filtering a fuel discharged from the fuel pump (4), and an earth device provided with a conductive protector (24) and a conductive member (25) to provide for earthing of the filter element (12), thereby surely discharging static electricity generated when the fuel passes through the filter element to provide for stable fuel supplying.
