    摘要: A process for producing hydroxycarboxylic acids which comprises reacting an aldehyde compound, carbon monoxide and water in a reaction medium, said reaction being carried out in the presence of a crystalline aluminosilicate whose X-ray diffraction pattern shows at least five clear diffraction lines at a diffraction angle 20 of 7.9°±0.3°, 8.8°±0.3°, 23.2°±0.3°, 23.7°±0.3°, and 24.4°±0.3° while the concentration of the aldehyde compound in the reaction , mixture is maintained at not more than 15% by weight based on the total weight of the aldehyde compound and the reaction medium.

    Such crystalline aluminosilicates are produced as relatively large crystals by carrying out a hydrothermal synthetic reaction in the presence of a fluorine compound.
    The crystalline aluminosilicates can be used as an adsorbent for the separation of various compounds, for example. the isomers of hydrocarbons, or can be converted to a solid acid by treatment with an acid such as hydrochloric acid and be used as catalysts for various reactions, for example, the preparation of olefins from methanol or dimethyl ether by the dehydration reaction.
