摘要： A hybrid inflator (20) has a porous substrate (56) coated with a heat-producing, essentially non gas-producing composition for heating pressurized inflation gases in the inflator. The substrate is preferably a metal or ceramic substrate and the coating may suitably be a thermite composition comprising aluminium metal powder and powdered ferric oxide as an oxidizer.
