    摘要: An effective technique for preventing wear of parts to be involved in power transmission is provided in a power tool having a power transmitting mechanism for transmitting power of a driving motor to a tool bit.
    A power tool is provided which includes a driving motor 111 and a power transmitting mechanism 131 for transmitting power of the driving motor 111 to a driver bit 119, and performs a predetermined operation on a workpiece via the driver bit 119. The power transmitting mechanism 131 includes a first clutch cam part 137 that is rotationally driven by the driving motor 111, a second clutch cam part 138 that holds the tool bit 119, clutch teeth 137a, 138a that engage the first clutch cam part 137 and the second clutch cam part 138 when the second clutch cam part 138 is pushed in toward the first clutch cam part 137 together with the driver bit 119 by user's pressing force, a clutch detecting mechanism 151 that detects an operating condition of the second clutch cam part 138 with respect to the first clutch cam part 137, and a controller that can control the driving motor 111, according to the operating condition of the second clutch cam part 138 detected by the detecting mechanism 151, in a first control mode in which the driving motor 111 is controlled to rotate at a first rotation speed until before the first and second clutch cam parts 137 and 138 are engaged with each other at the clutch teeth 137a, 138a, and in a second control mode in which the driving motor 111 is controlled to rotate at a second rotation speed higher than the first rotation speed after the first and second clutch cam parts 137 and 138 are engaged with each other at the clutch teeth 137a, 138a.

    The power tool has a planetary gear speed reducing mechanism 131. The planetary gear speed reducing mechanism 131 has a driving-side member 135 that is rotationally driven by a prime mover 111, a driven-side member 139 which is rotatably and coaxially disposed with the driving-side member 135 and to which a tool bit 119 is coupled, and an intervening member 137 which is disposed between the driving-side member 135 and the driven-side member 139. The intervening member 137 is configured as a planetary member and at least caused to rotate by frictional force acting on its contact surface in contact with the driving-side member 135 when the driving-side member is rotationally driven, so that torque of the driving-side member 135 is transmitted to the driven-side member 139 at reduced speed.
