    摘要: If a refrigerant mixture of carbon dioxide (R744) is used in a refrigeration cycle apparatus, a pressure and a discharging temperature are increased. It is an object of the present invention to solve these problems and to obtain more excellent characteristics. A refrigerant mixture comprises carbon dioxide (R744) having non-azeotropic properties and hydrocarbon refrigerant comprising one of propane, cyclopropane, isobutane and butane. If the hydrocarbon refrigerant is propane, the concentration of R744 in the entire refrigerant mixture is 30% or lower by weight. If the hydrocarbon refrigerant is cyclopropane, the concentration of R744 in the entire refrigerant mixture is 40% or lower by weight. If the hydrocarbon refrigerant is isobutane, the concentration of R744 in the entire refrigerant mixture is 60% or lower by weight. If the hydrocarbon refrigerant is butane, the concentration of R744 in the entire refrigerant mixture is 70% or lower by weight. The refrigerant mixture is charged into a refrigeration cycle apparatus.

    摘要: In a refrigeration cycle using a flammable refrigerant as a refrigerant and comprising an indoor heat exchanger (6), an outdoor heat exchanger (3), a compressor (1) and an expansion device (5) which are annularly connected to one another through pipes, the refrigeration cycle is provided with a gas sensor (8) and a refrigerant discharge portion (9), the gas sensor (8) monitors leakage of the refrigerant from the refrigeration cycle to outside, and after the leakage is detected by the gas sensor (8), the discharge portion (9) is opened to discharge the refrigerant to outside. At that time, the gas sensor (8) is disposed inside a room, and the discharge portion is disposed outside the room. Further, the discharge portion (9) is provided with a fan (19) to facilitate the dispersion of the refrigerant. Further, the discharge portion (9) is provided with a burner portion (29) to discharge out the refrigerant while burning the refrigerant. With the above structure, the leakage of a flammable refrigerant is monitored, and after the leakage is detected, the refrigerant is positively discharged to the safe atmosphere, e. g. to the side of an outdoor unit, and even if the refrigerant is leaked at the side of an indoor unit, it is possible to suppress the leakage to a certain level.

The ventilation system is comprised of a detector which detects a flammable gas or refrigerant, a ventilating fan which ventilates a room, a ceiling fan and an air conditioner indoor unit which stir the air of the room, en electric power supply switch which turns off a power supply to a fan heater or an electric stove. With this configuration, in the room, a localized stagnation of the gas can be avoided and a source of fire can be eliminated; thereby, a superior safety can be realized.
