摘要: An introducer assembly (10) for introducing a stent-graft or other device into a vessel of a patient is provided with a dilator tip (100) which is naturally curved, preferably to be substantially a U-shape. The dilator tip is flexible so as to be able to become substantially straight with a guide wire (42) therein and yet to be able to curve back towards its natural curvature during deployment of an implant. The curvature of the dilator tip (100) can ensure that the dilator tip does not cause damage to the vessel wall during deployment of an implant carried thereon, as can occur with straight dilator tips.

摘要: The present embodiments provide a stent for use in a medical procedure that comprises a series of proximal apices disposed at a proximal end of the stent and a series of distal apices disposed at a distal end of the stent. A trigger wire is adapted to be coupled to at least one of the proximal apices to restrain a proximal end of the stent during delivery. In a first embodiment, a first proximal apex comprises a bore for receiving the trigger wire, and a second proximal apex, disposed adjacent to the first proximal apex, comprises at least one barb. The trigger wire therefore is only coupled to selected ones of the proximal apices. In an alternative embodiment, a first proximal apex comprises a first bore and a second, adjacent proximal apex comprises a second bore, such that a single trigger wire may be disposed through the first and second bores to restrain the first and second proximal apices during delivery.

摘要: A variable curvature stent limb (100) is disclosed. The stent limb has an S-shape enabling it to be compressed into a substantially flat condition. A stent (195) formed from a plurality of these variable curvature stent limbs (100) IS highly compressible, such that it is compatible with a low-profile delivery device. This stent (100) may be useful over a wider range of body vessel diameters and may possess a greater fatigue life, since this stent may provide a more controlled constant radial force.

The first and second extension grafts comprise at least one stent and have a body reinforcing portion and a branch reinforcing portion. The body reinforcing portions have a larger expanded dimension than the expanded dimension of the respective branch reinforcing portion. The body reinforcing portions, together, have an expanded dimension that is generally equal to the expanded dimension of the outer graft body.
