摘要:
The invention disclosed herein provides methods and materials for observing the state of a sensor, for example those used by diabetic patients to monitor blood glucose levels. Typically a voltage such as a voltage pulse is applied to the sensor in order to solicit a current response from which for example, factors such as impedance values can be derived. Such values can then be used as indicators of a sensor's state, for example the state of sensor hydration, sensor noise, sensor offset, sensor drift or the like.

An on-body injector (192) for use with a patient with an injection device having an injection port in fluid communication with a delivery tube (150), the injection port (140) lying on an injection axis (144), the on-body injector (192) comprising: a bolus reservoir (1100); a bolus injection needle (1040) in fluid communication with the bolus reservoir (1100), the bolus injection needle (1040) having a bolus injection needle tip (1042) aligned with the injection port, the bolus injection needle being slideably biased away from the injection port (140) to define a gap (1120) between the bolus injection needle tip (1042) and the injection port (140); and a button (1030) operably connected to the bolus injection needle (1040) to slide the bolus injection needle (1040) along the injection axis (144); wherein the button (1030) is operable to advance the bolus injection needle tip (1042) to close the gap (1120) and advance the bolus injection needle tip into the injection port to form an injection flow path from the bolus reservoir (1100), through the bolus injection needle (1040), through the delivery tube (150), and into the patient; wherein the button (1030) is further operable to advance a plunger (1110) through the bolus reservoir (1100) to deliver a predetermined bolus volume to the patient through the injection flow path; and a pressurized reservoir (1070) in fluid communication with the bolus reservoir.
