    摘要: A landing gear assembly for an aircraft, the landing gear assembly 10 comprises an elongate bogie beam 12 and a first axle bearing 16a having an outer part 16aâ rotatably coupled to an inner part of bogie socket 14 by, for example, an interference fit. An inner part 16aâ â of the bearing 16a has a mounting aperture 18a and has a bearing axis B which is offset from a longitudinal axis A of a steerable axle. This offset configuration is such that rotation of the inner part 16aâ â causes a change in the orientation of the steerable axle relative to the bogie beam 12. An actuator causes rotation of the inner part 16aâ â and of an intermediate part so that an angular position of these parts is changed. The actuator receives a signal transmitted by a processing device, e.g. micro controller (42, fig 8), which receives input signals from an input device such as a joy stick (44).
