摘要: A textile comprises a first yarn comprising a core and a multicellular foam surrounding the core. The textile also comprises a second yarn interconnected with the first yarn. The first yarn is derived from a core comprising a core material at least partially surrounded by a sheath material comprising a thermoplastic material and a chemical blowing agent. The multicellular foam comprises a second material comprising a reacted form of the chemical blowing agent, and the second material is a foamed product of the first thermoplastic material comprising one or more polymers and the chemical blowing agent. The textile may be incorporated into an upper for an article of footwear.

摘要: A method of manufacturing an article of footwear includes providing a textile and applying heat and/or pressure to the textile using a texturing device to form a textured area of the textile. The textured area is spaced apart from a substantially smooth area of the textile. The method further includes forming at least part of an upper from the textile after applying the heat and/or pressure to the textile. The upper includes a cavity configured to receive a foot. The substantially smooth area is configured to define a reference boundary of the upper. The substantially smooth area and the textured area are each configured to be disposed at predetermined regions of the upper. Furthermore, forming the textured area includes forming a plurality of projection structures that project outward from the reference boundary at varying distances.

摘要: A process for manufacturing an upper (1500) for an article of footwear comprising placing at least a portion of the first element and at least a portion of the second element on a molding surface which is the molding surface of a last (1520), wherein the first element comprises a low processing temperature polymeric composition and the second element comprises a high processing temperature polymeric composition, and while the at least a portion of the upper remains on the molding surface of the last increasing a temperature of the entire upper to a temperature that is above the melting temperature T m of the low processing temperature polymeric composition and below: 1) the creep relaxation temperature T cr ; 2) the heat deflection temperature T hd ; and 3) the Vicat softening temperature T vs of the high processing temperature polymeric composition, and subsequently decreasing the temperature of the entire upper to a temperature below the melting temperature T m of the low processing temperature polymeric composition.
