The present invention relates to an insulated vessel which may be produced at low cost, has superior insulating capabilities and excellent volumetric efficiency, and which may be suitably employed in a thermos, cooler, icebox, insulated cup, thermal insulated lunch box, thermal insulated electric pot, heat retaining rice cooker, refrigerator or freezer box insulating material, or as an insulating layer in a bath tub. The insulated vessel of the present invention is characterized in the formation of an insulating layer in the space interval (26) between the inner vessel (22) and the outer vessel (21) of a double walled vessel which is filled with a low thermoconductive gas consisting of at least one the gases of xenon, krypton and argon, and in the disposition of a metallic heat radiation preventing material (24) at the insulating layer.

A thermally insulated double-walled synthetic resin container having a thermal insulator layer (5) filled with a low thermal conductivity gas, wherein the inner container (3) and the outer container (2) are formed from a chemical resistant resin, a hole portion (8) is provided at the enter of the bottom wall of the outer container, this hole portion is sealed by a sealing panel (9) formed from chemical resistant resin; a protrusion portion (25) is formed on the thermal insulator layer side of the bottom central portion of the outer container and a depression portion (22) aligned with the center of the protrusion portion (25) is formed on the reverse side of this protrusion portion; or a metallic thin film layer (11) is formed on the surfaces facing the thermal insulator layer aside from the area around the mouth; as a result of which the thermally insulated double-walled synthetic resin container is provided with exceptional thermal insulation capabilities and strength.
