In an external cover of a replaceable cartridge that makes up an air drying apparatus of a compressed air brake for a vehicle, or the like, the present invention relates to a structure of the external cover in the air drying apparatus that enhances a sealing characteristic between the replaceable cartridge and a base, thereby improving quality and reliability of the air drying apparatus. Specifically, a first slope 16g is formed at an intermediate position between an extremity 16e of a rising piece 16a and a bottom 16f of an external cover 16, and a left vertical wall 16h is formed so as to rise from the bottom 16f. A right vertical wall 16i is formed opposite the left vertical wall 16h. A top face 16j is formed between the left vertical wall 16h and the right vertical wall 16i. An indentation 16b is defined by the left vertical wall 16h, the right vertical wall 16i, and the top face 16j, and a sealing member 21 is fitted into the indentation 16b. There is provided an oil suppressing structure in air drying device for removing oil contents or oil mist contained in compressed air which rises in an interior of the air drying device used in a vehicle compressed air brake system. An air drying device includes an outer case 21, a drying case 22 which is accommodated in an interior of the outer case 21, a base plate 23 which is fixed to a lower end portion 21a of the outer case 21, and an outer cover 24 which is fixed to a lower end portion 21a of the base plate 23. The drying case 22 has a large-diameter long cylindrical body portion 22A and a small-diameter long cylindrical body portion 22B, and a particulate desiccating agent 25 is filled in an interior of the large-diameter cylindrical body portion 22A. An oil adsorbing material 27 is a high-performance oil adsorbing member and is inserted to be placed in a space S3 defined between an inner wall surface of the outer case 21 and the small-diameter long cylindrical body portion 22B of the drying case 22.

The present invention provides an air supply system capable of constraining increase in the number of wires or connectors. The air supply system is provided with: a check valve (19) through which air, obtained by having a filter (17) remove moisture and oil content from air supplied from a compressor, is allowed to pass from the upstream to the downstream; a drain discharge valve (25) for opening the path between the compressor and the filter (17) to the atmosphere when the air pressure downstream of the check valve (19) becomes higher than a predetermined pressure; a regeneration control valve (21) for supplying air downstream of the check valve (19) to the filter (17), in a direction from the check valve (19) side to the drain discharge valve (25), by performing an operation of connecting a bypass flow path (20) to the check valve (19) in parallel therewith on the basis of supply of electricity; and a switching circuit (120) for operating the regeneration control valve (21), upon reception of the value of air pressure downstream of the check valve (19), by supplying electricity to the regeneration control valve (21) when the value of air pressure is in a predetermined range.
