摘要:
A method for recovering hydraulic fluid used in powering or activating a n underwater apparatus submerged in deep water, the method comprising the steps of flowing fluid to said underwater apparatus (BOP) to power the underwater apparatus (BOP) characterised in that the method further comprises the step of flowing recovered fluid from said underwater apparatus to a fluid recovery apparatus (FRS) submerged in deep water to move said fluid to the surface of the deepwater.

A multi-function multi-hole rig (600) is disclosed which, in certain aspects, includes multiple machines for accomplishing rig functions, e.g. drilling machine(s) (DMl, DM2), tripping machine(s) (TMl), casing machine(s), and/or cementing machine(s) (CMl), for producing multiple usable wellbores one after the other. This abstract is provided to allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure and is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.
摘要:
A method for recovering fluid from an underwater apparatus submerged in deep water, the method comprising the steps of flowing fluid to said underwater apparatus (BOP) to power the underwater apparatus, characterised in that the method further comprises the steps of flowing recovered fluid from said underwater apparatus (BOP) to a subsurface recovery apparatus (FRS) comprising a pump apparatus (430, 602) and selectively pumping recovered fluid to above a surface of the deep water. Preferably, the method further comprises a reserve capacity apparatus (410, 610) in said deep water, the method further comprising the step of allowing the reserve capacity apparatus (410, 610) to fill with recovered fluid.

A cable support, cable support assembly, and method of supporting a cable is disclosed. The cable support includes a body having a base portion and a ball portion with a cable channel to receive a cable therethrough. The body includes a plurality of axial segments movable between an open position to access the cable channel and a closed position to enclose the cable in the channel. The base portion has a cavity to receive the ball portion of another cable support whereby the cable is flexibly supported.

A tubular and tubular connection for joining adjacent tubulars of a tubular string for passage of fluid therethrough is provided. The tubular connection includes a pin end at an end of a first of adjacent tubulars and a box end at an end of a second of the adjacent tubulars. The pin end has an outer locking surface. The box end has a plurality of fingers at an end thereof with slots therebetween. The fingers are selectively extendable for placement about the pin end of the first of the adjacent tubulars. The fingers having an inner locking surface for interlocking engagement with the outer locking surface of the pin end whereby loads are distributed between the adjacent tubulars.

Systems and methods for installing a windmill are provided. The system has a hoisting platform and a carrier. The hoisting platform is operatively connectable to at least one platform leg extending a distance above a base. The hoisting platform is positionable along the platform leg(s). The carrier receives at least one component of the windmill, and is positionable about the hoisting platform and movable thereby whereby the component(s) of the windmill is/are positionable for installation.
摘要:
A system for producing mechanical energy. In some embodiments, the system includes a first source providing a first fluid, a fluid pressurization device, a second source supplying a second fluid, a first motor, and a second motor. The fluid pressurization device draws in the first fluid from the first source and increases the pressure of the first fluid. The first motor is driven by the second fluid, the second fluid decreasing in pressure and the first motor powering the fluid pressurization device as the second fluid passes through the first motor. The second motor receives a mixture of the first fluid from the first motor and the second fluid from the fluid pressurization device, whereby the second motor produces the mechanical energy.
