Abstract:
An article of footwear with a sole system includes a sole member and a protruding member assembly. The sole system provides tactile sensation. Protruding members of the protruding member assembly can translate through holes in the sole member to facilitate tactile sensation.
Abstract:
The present application refers to a sole structure for an article of footwear and to an article of footwear having an upper and the sole structure, the sole structure comprising: a forefoot region; a heel region; a medial side; a lateral side; a midfoot region extending between the forefoot region and the heel region; a chassis plate having a lower surface facing away from the upper opposite an upper surface; and a forefoot plate, the forefoot plate (i) having an upper surface and an opposing lower surface and (ii) having a first end and a second end; and a cushion attached to the lower surface of the chassis plate on a first side, and to the upper surface of the forefoot plate on a second side, the cushion extending from a first end in the forefoot region to a second end in the mid-foot region; wherein the first end of the forefoot plate extends upwardly along an anterior end of the upper, and wherein the second end extends beyond a second end of the cushion.
Abstract:
A ball control portion for an article of footwear is disclosed. The ball control portion includes a plurality of protrusions that are configured to bend to provide increased surface contact between an upper and a ball, such as a soccer ball. The plurality of protrusions are arranged in an arc-like configuration on the upper that generally corresponds to the curvature of a ball.
Abstract:
An article of footwear includes sensory elements. The sensory elements are embedded in an upper of an article of footwear, the upper having a first layer and a second layer. Sensory elements are proximally disposed toward a foot when contacted by an object. Sensory elements may partially protrude from the first layer and/or the second layer. Sensory elements may also be fully covered between the first layer and the second layer.
Abstract:
An article of footwear is provided. The article of footwear comprises: a sole structure (1504) including a bottom surface (1406), and a first traction element (1550) including a first cut step (1560) and a second traction element (1552) including a second cut step (1562); wherein the first cut step (1560) and the second cut step (1562) are aligned in a generally lateral direction (2100) across both of first traction element (1550) and second traction element (1552), and the major axis (2102, 2104) of each of the traction elements (1550, 1552) is aligned in different directions.
Abstract:
An article of footwear may include an upper incorporating a knitted component. The knitted component includes a knit element and an inlaid strand formed of unitary knit construction with the knit element. The inlaid strand extends through the knit element. A portion of the inlaid strand may extend into the heel region and may be external to the heel region. Pulling on the external portion may tension the inlaid strand.
