摘要： An article of footwear (10) is disclosed that includes an upper (20) and a sole structure (30). The upper (20) includes a matrix structure (40) that defines a plurality of apertures (43). The apertures (43) may have an elongate configuration to impart differences in the extensibility of the upper (20) in different directions. For example, the matrix layer (40) may be formed from a plurality of segments (41) that cross each other to define the apertures (43). A method of manufacturing the article of footwear (10) is also disclosed.
