    摘要: Provided is a method for producing a hydrogenated unsaturated polyhydroxyhydrocarbon polymer capable of suppressing side reactions such as a hydrogenolysis reaction of a terminal hydroxyl group and achieving a high hydrogenation rate in a short reaction time. A hydrogenated unsaturated polyhydroxyhydrocarbon polymer is obtained by a method including: hydrogenating an unsaturated polyhydroxyhydrocarbon polymer under the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst and a reaction solvent in the following two stages (I) and (II): (I) carrying out a hydrogenation reaction in a temperature range of 80°C to 130°C until a hydrogenation rate of at least 30 mol% is achieved; and then (II) carrying out a hydrogenation reaction at a temperature higher than 130°C until a hydrogenation rate of at least 98 mol% is achieved.
