Gegenstand der Erfindung ist Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Etheresterols, bevorzugt eines Polyetheresterols, durch Umsetzung einer H-funktionellen Startersubstanz (1) mit einem cyclischen Anhydrid (2) in Gegenwart eines Katalysators (4), wobei das cyclische Anhydrid (2) ein spezifisches Alkylbernsteinsäureanhydrid (2-1) enthält. Ein weiterer Gegenstand sind Etheresterole, bevorzugt Polyetheresterole erhältlich nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren.

This invention discloses a solid-phase polymerization method of high-molecular-weight aliphatic polyester, in which the solid-phase polymerization of aliphatic polyester prepolymer is conducted under a gas stream containing sulfonic acid catalyst. While gaining advantages of simple process and low operation cost, etc. the method also features in being able to prepare metal free aliphatic polyester with high molecular weight, good color and luster and perfect thermal stability efficiently. The non-metal-ion aliphatic polyester is not only applicable to common use, but is also suitable as high value-added medical material and packing material which contacts with food directly than other metal-containing polyester.

The present invention provides a polyester resin which is excellent in long-term thermal stability and moldability, comprises a dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component, wherein 10 mol% or more of a furandicarboxylic acid is contained as the dicarboxylic acid component and the polyester resin satisfies following requirements (1) to (3); (1) a total metal element content is 150 ppm or less relative to the mass of the polyester resin; (2) a phosphorus element content is 100 ppm or less relative to the mass of the polyester resin; and (3) TOD” reduced viscosity represented by the following formula is 0.030 dl/g or less; TOD” reduced viscosity = reduced viscosity before thermal oxidation test ˆ’ reduced viscosity after thermal oxidation test .

The present invention relates to a method for preparation a glycolide polyester by ring opening polymerization characterized in that glycolide monomer with optional co-monomer(s) of cyclic ester(s) is/are subjected to ring opening polymerization in the presence of a dispersion stabilizer and a catalyst, said catalyst being selected for precipitating glycolide homopolymer or copolymer from solvent, said solvent being selected so that the glycolide monomer and the optional co-monomer(s), the dispersion stabilizer and the catalyst are soluble therein but said glycolide homopolymer or copolymer is non-soluble. The present invention further relates to an in situ ring opening polymerizing process product, and to use of said glycolide polyester, and to further processing of said glycolide polyester.
