When producing a sinterable ceramic or metallic body (15), a tool is used which can be assembled from two or more tool parts (19, 24). A moulding space (F) corresponds to the shape of the body. One tool part (24) is produced using a wet composition which comprises solvent, heat-conducting particles and material which is readily worked and form-stable in solidified form, for example plaster. The material is caused to solidify in a binding function in which the solvent is eliminated and pores thereby arise in the solidified material. The injection moulding composition is injected into the space (F) using a low or medium compression moulding pressure and heat which arises due to the injection into the space is conducted away by means of the said heat-conducting particles in the solidified material. Any gas or air which is trapped in the space is conducted away through the pores in the solidified material.
