    摘要: The electro-optical glare protection filter comprises a liquid crystal cell which is a laterally extended liquid crystal cell defining a volume between two laterally extended sides, the volume containing liquid crystals and having, in a vertical direction perpendicular to lateral directions, a thickness being smaller than an extension of the volume in any lateral direction. The FFS cell comprises a first electrode structure and a second electrode structure, which are arranged to change an orientation of the liquid crystals in the volume when a voltage is applied between them, wherein both the first and the second electrode structure are present at the same laterally extended side of the volume. The first electrode structure may comprise a plurality of electrically separate electrodes and the second electrode structure may comprise a plurality of electrode lines.

    摘要: The invention relates to an active optical filtering device which is particularly suitable for use as a glare protection device in welding protection masks, helmets or goggles. The device is equipped with a light protection filter with at least one active optical filtering element, an electronics unit for controlling the active filtering element, a light sensor which co-operates with the electronics unit and a power supply, especially a solar cell, for the electronics unit and the active filtering element; in a manner known per se. The control circuit for the active filtering element is configured in such a way that the load capacitor is entirely unloaded over a short space of time within a frame frequency (1/T) range of 0.01 to 1 Hz, which halves the power consumption in comparison with known circuits. At the same time, the operating voltage (U) is placed within a range which is determined quantitatively and in which the proportion of stray light of the liquid crystal display used is minimal as a result of this determination.

    摘要: The invention relates to an active electrooptic filter device used in particular as an antiglare device for welders'shields, helmets or glasses. In accordance with known methods, the inventive device is fitted with a light protective filter having at least one active optical filter element (1), electronic elements (2) that control the active filter element(s), a light sensor (4) that cooperates with the electronic elements, and in addition to current supply (5-7), in particular a solar cell, for the electronic elements and the active filter element(s). The invention seeks to provide a device which is economical to produce and easy to use. To this end, the light protective filter (1) is arranged in a filter module (FE), and the electronic elements (2), the light sensor (4) and the current supply (5-7) are arranged in a separate control unit (SE). The filter module (FE) and the control unit (SE) can be separably connected, mechanically and electrically, to form one unit (F). To achieve this, they have mutually cooperating mechanical and electric connecting elements (8-13). The invention also seeks to guarantee the user physiologically unimpaired vision in his work, as far as this is possible, for all lines of sight through the filter element, thus guaranteeing compliance with basic safety requirements, such as improved spatial vision, and, as a result, unimpaired balance and recognition of approaching objects. To this end, the light protection filter (1) has at least one optically active or passive compensating element, for example an optical phase delay foil, or an electrooptic filter, which enhances in particular the homogeneity of its light transmission in accordance with the viewing angle.
