Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and evaluation system for generating an evaluation result indicating the physiological state of a person, in particular the state of endurance. The invention is also directed to a system and method for handling data transfer in connection with the evaluation of spectroscopically obtained measurement signals. The invention addresses the problem of providing solutions that make it possible to obtain at least substantially objective indications about the physical capabilities, in particular the state of endurance, or, in particular, also a training-induced or therapy-enduced evolution of the endurance and training states of a person. This problem is solved by a first aspect of the invention by means of a method for generating an evaluation result which indicates the physical capabilities, in particular the state of endurance, of a person. According to this method, light is coupled to a vital muscle region, at least part of the light propagated through the muscle region is detected, the spectral intensity distribution of the detected light is analysed, the concentration of substances active as redox catalysts is detected from this analysis during a test, and the evaluation result is determined on the basis of the detected concentration.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a test result indicative of the presence or concentration of a substance in a sample. The aim of the invention is to create solutions which allow the concentration of a substance to be determined reliably by a spectrometer while the respective measurement can be taken within a relatively short period of time without including a reference measurement in a direct temporal proximity of the measurement and without going through a preliminary operating phase to stabilize the device. According to a first embodiment of the invention, said aim is achieved by a method for producing a test result indicative of the presence of a substance in a sample based on a spectrometric measurement. In said method, light is emitted to said sample from a source during an illumination phase, light marked by the interaction with said sample is detected in terms of the spectral intensity distribution, and the concentration of a substance or a variable related to the concentration is determined during a computer-aided mathematical test signal processing process taking into account the spectral intensity distribution of the detected light, an LED being used as a light source. A compensation function which takes into account dependencies of the spectral intensity distribution of the light emitted by the light source on the temperature of the LED is processed during the computer-aided mathematical test signal processing process, thus advantageously making it possible to take a spectrometric measurement without going through a time-consuming heating phase of the measurement system. The measurement can be taken immediately using the device at ambient temperature.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to an electronic circuit for processing signals which as such are indicative of the features or characteristics of the spectral distribution of light which is supplied for spectrometric measurements combined with an LED light source. The problem of the invention is to provide solutions which allow the informative value of spectrometric measurements to be increased. For this purpose, a reference curve for the spectral emission is calculated based on a reference measurement and at least two additional measurements on the same reference, said spectral emission being used as a reference when carrying out measurements of practically any objects. This curve is determined in such a manner that it corresponds to a curve of the spectral emission at a temperature that is outside or far outside the temperature range of the actual temperatures of the LED during the measurements.
