    摘要: The security document has a substrate (1) that comprises at least a first and a second substrate layer (7, 8) arranged on opposite sides of an intermediate layer (10). In a first region (5) of the document, the first and second substrate layers (7, 8) are connected to each other via the intermediate layer (10). Gaps or openings (11) in the intermediate layer (10) form a second region (6) or cavity where the first and second substrates (7, 8) are not connected. The security of the document can e.g. be improved by providing suitable patterns (14, 15) (for eg moire-effects by deforming, bending or compressing the substrate layers) or by embedding loose particles or a foil in the second region (6).

    摘要: The invention relates to a security element (5, 5.1, 5.2) for a security document (8). The security element (5, 5.1, 5.2) comprises a plurality of particles (1; 1'), each of which is movably arranged in a respective encapsulation (4). Two sides of each particle (1; 1') have different magnetic and/or electric polarizations, and one of the two sides or another side of each particle (1') is provided with a first coating (2). By applying an electric field and/or a magnetic field, the particles (1; 1') and thus the coatings (2) thereof can be aligned, allowing specific patterns to be created. Said patterns can be read in order to check the authenticity. The invention further relates to a security document with such a security element, to a method for producing such a security element (5, 5.1, 5.2), and to a method for checking the authenticity of a security document (8) with such a security element (5, 5.1, 5.2).
