摘要： A blasting system (10) comprises a wireless link (18) between a blast controller (12) and a plurality of electronic detonators (22.1 to 22.n). Each detonator comprises a respective electronic initiator (24) and an explosive charge (26). Charge storage devices of the initiators are chargeable by a carrier of a first signal having a first frequency (f1) in the order of 400 MHz - 500 MHz and which is broadcasted by the blast controller. Each initiator further comprises logic circuitry driven by a clock signal which is derived from the first signal and having a clock frequency of about 4 kHz, which is substantially less than the first frequency.

摘要： A detonator assembly (10) comprising a housing (12) disclosed and claimed. The assembly comprises an main circuit (11) comprising an electrically operable fuse (16) located in the housing. The assembly further comprises at least a first redundancy circuit (13) wherein at least one element of the main circuit is duplicated (18 for 16) also located in the housing. The invention also includes within its scope an initiation system (42) comprising at least one level of redundancy which may be in one or more or all of a blast controller (24), a harness (40) and detonator assemblies 10.1 to 10.n forming part of the system.
