    摘要: An electronic detonator for detonating an explosive and a system for performing blast operations in one or more blast holes are disclosed. The detonator includes a high voltage switch, an initiator and an initiating pellet, a primary circuit, a primary energy source and a secondary energy source. The detonator also includes a voltage converter for converting a low voltage to a high voltage, arranged to charge the primary energy source and a controller arranged in use to control the operation of the voltage converter. The detonator also includes a housing arranged to integrally package the high voltage switch, the initiator, the initiating pellet, the primary circuit, the primary and secondary energy sources, the voltage converter and the controller. The housing comprises a substantially puck shape having a through tunnel that extends through the puck, and a toroidal inductor arranged coaxial with the corresponding through tunnel, the inductor being coupled to the controller, and arranged to provide an inductive pickup for wireless communication with an external source in use.

    摘要: An explosives detonator system for detonating an explosive charge with which it is, in use, arranged in a detonating relationship is provided. On acceptance of a detonation initiating signal having a detonation initiating property, the system initiates and thus detonates the explosive charge. The system includes an initiating device which accepts the detonation initiating signal and initiates and thus detonates the explosive charge. The initiating device is initially in a non-detonation initiating condition, in which it is not capable of accepting the detonation initiating signal. The system also includes a switching device that detects a chemical compositional component as a switching property of a switching signal that is transmitted to the detonator system, with the switching device being capable of switching the initiating device, on detection of the chemical compositional component, to a standby condition in which the initiating device accepts the detonation initiating signal when it is transmitted thereto.

    摘要: Un détonateur explosif non-primaire comprend un tube creux (1) avec une extrémité fermée ayant une cavité qui contient une charge explosive secondaire de base (8), et avec une extrémité opposée ouverte par où l'élément d'allumage (9, 15, 16) est inséré, et avec un compartiment intermédiaire adjacent à ladite cavité et contenant une charge initiatrice (7), avec une composition de retardement (6) facultativement disposée à côté de ladite charge initiatrice. Ce qui caractérise le détonateur est le fait que le compartiment contient une charge explosive initiatrice secondaire (7) qui permet de réduire les inconvénients courants des charges explosives initiatrices primaires, et par le fait que ledit compartiment a des parois minces et est ouvert ou pourvu d'une paroi mince ou d'une ouverture (5) ou d'un évidement à l'extrémité située près de ladite cavité afin d'accélérer la combustion de ladite charge explosive initiatrice secondaire de façon à créer une onde de choc qui provoque la détonation de ladite charge explosive secondaire de base, et d'un orifice (4) qui permet d'allumer ladite charge explosive initiatrice secondaire à l'aide de l'élément d'allumage (9). Grâce à la configuration spéciale du compartiment le détonateur est très polyvalent par comparaison aux détonateurs explosifs non-primaires connus jusqu'à maintenant. L'invention porte également sur un élément initiateur séparé ayant la structure du compartiment décrit ci-dessus.
