摘要: An elevator safety system including a controller, and a hoistway safety node arranged at a pit portion of an elevator hoistway. The hoistway node is operatively connected to one of a pit safety device and a lower hoistway device arranged at the elevator pit. A first bus links the hoistway node and the controller. The first bus passes communication signals directly from the hoistway node to the controller. A car node is arranged in an elevator car. The car node is operatively connected to a car safety device arranged at the elevator car. A second bus links the car node and the controller. The second bus passes communication signals directly from the car node to the controller.

摘要: A processor-implemented method for pushing a revision to an automated passenger conveying subsystem is provided. The processor-implemented method receives the revision over a network to make the revision available to one or more subsystems. An application executed on a processor of the network, then, receives a selection input identifying the automated passenger conveying subsystem of the one or more subsystems. In turn, the application sends a message to the automated passenger conveying subsystem based on the selection input. The message identifies that the revision is available for downloading and deployment. An exchange operation is executed to push the revision to the automated passenger conveying subsystem.

摘要: A method of monitoring a suspension member of an elevator system includes determining a condition of the suspension member based on a combination of an electrical inspection technique, a use indicator corresponding to an amount of use of the suspension member, and a mechanical characteristic indicator corresponding to at least one mechanical characteristic of the suspension member. The suspension member is removed from service based on an indication from the electrical inspection technique, the mechanical characteristic indicator, and the use indicator satisfying at least one predetermined combination of criteria.
