摘要: A process for thermal treatment of a sulfur-containing ore in which the ore is calcined at temperatures of between 600 and 1200° C. in the presence of oxygen in a reactor so that between 1 and 90% by weight of sulfur contained in the ore is burned to sulfur dioxide and impurities contained are driven off in gaseous form. The exhaust gas being produced and containing the sulfur dioxide is fed into a gas purification comprising at least one component and/or the calcined ore is fed into at least one further process stage. An exhaust gas from the gas purification and/or the process stage and/or a gas used for cooling within the gas purification or for cooling within a further process stage is at least partially returned back into the reactor as recycling gas having a temperature of >100° C.

摘要: A process and a plant for treating ore concentrate particles containing valuable metal and having at least arsenic and sulfur containing components. The process comprises a two-stage roasting process comprising a first roasting step and a second roasting step. A gas mixture is formed from the first process gas component obtained from the first roasting step and from the second process gas component obtained from the second roasting step. Post combustion of the gas mixture is made in a post combustion chamber that uses the sulphide rich first process gas component and the second process gas component as oxidizer gas in order to decompose SO3 in the gas mixture. The exit gas is exposed to subsequent gas cooling and dust removal steps.

摘要: The present invention describes a process for treating a leaching residue generated in a leaching of a sulfur-containing metal concentrate. Therein, the leaching residueisfed into a reactor, wherein a fluidizing gas is injected into the reactor to form a fluidizedbed containing at least a portion of the leaching residue. So, the leaching residueis heated in the presence of inert particles to a temperature between 600 and 900 °C in an oxidizing atmosphere to produce calcined particles and SO2. At least 60 wt-% of the inert particles are removed from the fluidized bed while at least 60 wt-%of the calcined particles are removed together with a gas stream containing off-gases and the fluidizing gas.
