The invention discloses a treatment method of a chlorine-containing zinc oxide secondary material, which comprises the following steps: 1) leaching the chlorine-containing zinc oxide secondary material I through an acid solution; 2) selectively extracting zinc through P204-kerosene solvent; 3) implementing stripping-electrolysis zinc recovery; 4) repeating steps 1)-4); 5) taking out the raffinate obtained from the Step (4), mixing the residual taken out raffinate with chlorine-containing zinc oxide secondary material II when balance on chlorine ion input and taking out is achieved; carrying out liquid-solid separation; leaching the separated deposit through acid raffinate of the step 1); 6) after separated solution achieves preset conditions, purifying the chlorine-containing aqueous phase; 7) evaporating and concentrating to crystallize out KCI and NaCl products. The invention is environment- friendly and energy-saving, and free from process wastewater emission; production cost is greatly reduced and secondary pollution of the currentdechloridation process is eliminated thoroughly.

This method is based in the recirculation of an iron free solution or a solution with low iron content in such a manner that the final acidity conditions obtained are ideal for iron to efficiently precipitate as jarosite. In a variation of the invention the zinc concentrate is subjected to the following stages: a. Roasting of at least part of the zinc concentrate. b. Neutral leaching where zinc oxide is dissolved. c. Acid leaching where zinc ferrites are leached. d. Reduction of the Fe +++ contained in the solution to Fe ++ by adding zinc concentrate and diluting it with a zinc sulphate solution resulting from stage (f) to lower the concentration of Fe ++ . e. Neutralizing the acidity in the solution with calcine. h. Iron oxidation and jarosite precipitation, free of contaminating solids, by means of the injection of oxygen or oxygen-enriched air and the addition of an alkali or a Na + o NH4 + salt.

The invention relates to a method, by means of which the valuable metals contained in a sulphidic, multicomponent concentrate are recovered using hydrometallurgical treatment. One constituent of the concentrate is copper sulphide, which is leached using an alkali chloride - copper (II) chloride solution. The sulphides of other valuable metals, such as zinc, nickel, cobalt and lead are leached before copper leaching and each is recovered as a separate product before copper recovery.

In one method, a zinc concentrate is leached as elemental sulfur and other by-products are stripped from the surfaces of the particles in the concentrate by means of a grinding machine such as a ball mill. The ferric ion consumed by leaching is regenerated for recycled use by introducing oxygen into the post-leaching solution flowing through feed pipes. This method can shorten the leach time by a substantial degree. In another leaching method, a solution containing free sulfuric acid and ferrous ions and a zinc concentrate are charged into an autoclave having a pressurized atmosphere and as oxygen gas is supplied, the internal temperature is adjusted between 90 °C and 120 °C, whereby the ferrous ion in the solution is oxidized to increase the ferric ion concentration to 2 - 60 g/L whereas pressurized leaching of the zinc concentrate is performed simultaneously. Following this one-step oxidative leaching process, the resulting slurry is subjected to a grinding/leaching step in which by-product elemental sulfur is stripped from the surfaces of the particles in the leached zinc concentrate and, thereafter, the slurry from the grinding/leaching step is subjected to another pressurized leaching step.

A process for the treatment of a roasted metal sulphide ore, for the separation of metals therefrom. The process comprises leaching the roasted ore with peroxysulphuric acid, optionally in the presence of chlorine, and separating a solution containing metals. The process is particularly useful in separating copper and zinc from sulphide ores of those metals, in particular when the ore has been subjected to a dead roast or to a sulphation roast and the roasted ore contains then metal ferrites which otherwise require high acid concentrations and high leach temperatures for metal recovery therefrom.
