The present invention relates to a system (1) for managing the pick-up and delivery of at least one handy object, for example a key (2) of a vehicle, comprising: a storage (4) provided with a plurality of cells (5) and a panel (6) frontally positioned with respect to the storage (4) and provided with a door (15) of access to at least one cell (5) of the storage (4). The storage (4) can be moved with respect to the panel (6) in order to provide a first cell of the storage (4) at said access door (15). The system (1) also comprises means (16, 17) for recognizing the key (2) and/or reading information on said key (2) or on a key holder (11). The recognition means (16, 17) operate within said first cell and are arranged in proximity to the access door (15). The system (1) also comprises a device (18) for authenticating a user and a control unit (19) connected to the storage (4), to the door (15), to the recognition means (16, 17) and to the authentication device (18).
