The invention relates to ion chromatography analysis, more specifically to devices for producing an eluent for ion chromatography. The inventive electrodialysis eluent generator for ion chromatography comprises an ion source container, an eluent generating chamber which is provided with input and output ports, an ion-exchange membrane which is arranged between the ion source container and the eluent generating chamber, an aqueous solution source connected to the input port of the eluent generating chamber, a first electrode arranged in the ion source container and a second electrode which is arranged in the eluent generating chamber and embodied in the form of an ion-exchange membrane provided with an electroconductive layer applied to the surface thereof. Said membrane is used as the external wall of the eluent generating chamber, said electroconductive layer being applied to the external, with respect to the eluent generating chamber, side of the ion-exchange membrane. Said generator also comprises a current power supply. The invention makes it possible to eliminate a gas disturbance effect in the element.

The invention relates to an ion chromatography analysis, more specifically to devices for reducing a background signal during a conductometric ion determination by an ion chromatography method. The inventive electrodialysis suppressor for the ion chromatography comprises an eluent channel which is bound on two side thereof by flat ion-exchange membranes and filled with an ion-exchange material embodied in the form of a net or resin, two regenerant solution channels which are filled with nets and formed by the ion-exchange membrane surfaces which are external with respect to the eluent channel and by inert plates. Said suppressor also comprises two electrodes which are arranged in chambers filled with said regenerant solution. Said invention is characterised in that each electrode is embodied in the form of an electroconductive layer applied to the membrane surface which is oriented towards the chamber containing the regenerant solution.
