摘要： A die cutting apparatus for forming die cuts from paper and other materials includes a metal base plate defining at least one channel therein for receiving at least one blade. The blade has a desired shape to provide a cutting edge with a predetermined contour to substantially match the contour of the at least one channel. The blade is welded to the base plate to secure it relative thereto and extends above the base plate to provide an exposed edge for cutting paper and the like into the predetermined contour. A covering is provided over at least a portion of the back surface of the base plate.
