摘要: An internal combustion engine having integrated supercharging comprises at least one cylinder (2), in which a piston (4) can be moved to and fro with formation of a working space (8) between one side of the piston and a cylinder head (6) and with formation of a compression space (14) on the other side of the piston, a skirt (12) which is connected to the piston (4), is arranged at least partially in the compression space (14) and is connected to a crank mechanism (18, 20) in order to convert the to and fro movement of the piston into a rotational movement of at least one crankshaft (18, 20), at least one inlet valve (50) which is arranged in an inlet into the working space (8), a feed channel (34) which leads into the compression space (14) and in which a feed valve (38) is arranged, and a discharge channel (36) which connects the compression space (14) to the inlet into the working space and in which a discharge valve (40) is arranged. The skirt (12) which is connected to the piston (4) is guided with a sealing action through the base wall (10) of the cylinder (2) so as to move linearly to and fro, and the crank mechanism is configured in such a way that it converts the linear to and fro movement of the skirt into the rotational movement of the at least one crankshaft (18, 20), and the compression space (14) is delimited on its side which faces away from the piston (4) by a bottom wall (10) of the cylinder.
