摘要： A modified sol-gel material and method of making the same is provided herein. More particularly, sol-gels disclosed herein have been modified to have one or more bioactive peptides covalently bound to the surface of the sol-gel. In one embodiment the peptide presenting sol-gels are prepared as thin film coatings and in a further embodiment the sol-gels are combined with living cells. The present disclosure is also directed to a novel one vessel reaction process for preparing the sol-gel-based peptide material.
