摘要： Methods and apparatus for wireless communication in a mobile device that includes relinquishing a client side high level operation system (HLOS) internet protocol (IP) context of a user equipment (UE), when the UE, connected to a network via a Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) connection, is transported to a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) connection area. Aspects of the methods and apparatus include maintaining a Packet Data Protocol (PDP) context of the UE, when the UE, connected to the network via the WWAN connection, is transported to a WLAN connection area. Aspects of the methods and apparatus include setting a linger timer for a certain period of time to defer deactivation of the PDP context and deactivating the PDP context when the linger timer expires.
