In known solenoid valves, there is a first hydraulically effective connection of an armature chamber (28) of said solenoid valve to an outlet (20) through the guide of a tappet (12) in a valve insert (10). Said first hydraulically effective connection ends in the form of a blind hole and thus does not permit flushing out gas bubbles which possibly have accumulated in said armature chamber (28). In addition, a number of longitudinal boreholes (38), which are connected to the outlet borehole (45), are made in the valve element (27). The transversal borehole (35) and the longitudinal boreholes (38) are connected via a closing element (25). The inventive valve (10) enables a controlled opening and closing of the closing element (25) whereby making a low-noise switching of the valve (10) possible.
