摘要:
An unmanned aerial vehicle comprising: a fuselage; and a sensor system 10 coupled to the fuselage; wherein the sensor system includes: an outer shell 50; an inner gimbal 52 within the outer shell; and extendible snubbers 60 that selectively couple together the inner gimbal 52 and the outer shell 50; wherein, when the snubbers are not extended, the inner gimbal is vibrationally isolated from the outer shell, and able to move relative to the outer shell; and wherein, when the snubbers are extended, the inner gimbal is stiffly coupled to the outer shell.

A relative translation system is disclosed. The relative translation system can include a relative translation assembly and a drive mechanism. The relative translation assembly can have a fixed support member, a translatable member supported by the fixed support member, and a translation guide portion to facilitate translation of the translatable member relative to the fixed support member. The translation guide portion can have a fixed translation member and a movable translation member. The movable translation member can be configured to maintain preload on the fixed and movable translation members and accommodate thermal expansion. The drive mechanism can be configured to cause translation of the translatable member relative to the fixed support member.

A single monotlithic moving window may follow the free aperture of an optical sensor contained in a housing over a reasonable field of regard by translating the window with respect to the sensor and/or a pod cover. Because the window angle of attack is unvarying, near field turbulence is minimized over the envelope of operation.

An optical switching system and method of selecting between one of several available in optic modules in an optical system is disclosed. In one example, the optical switching system comprises a focus cell assembly disposed in a plane, a rotatable field of view optic system having an axis, configured to rotate around the axis, the axis disposed in parallel to the plane of the focus cell, and a cam device mounted to the field of view optic system and configured to push the focus cell assembly away from the field of view optic system with each rotation of the field of view optic system.
