摘要:
Described are computer-based methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, for position determination. In some examples, the method includes receiving, by a device, position information from at least one other device. The method further includes modifying, by the device, an initial position based on the position information from the at least one other device to form a refined position. The method further includes transmitting, by the device, the refined position to the at least one other device. The method further includes revising, by the device, the refined position based on refined position information received from the at least one other device to form a final position.

A method and a system for spectral calibration of a remote sensing sensor and a synthetic target having a tunable spectral composition are described. The system or synthetic target includes a plurality of reflective mirrors arranged to reflect radiation from a source of radiation onto a remotely located radiation sensor. A first mirror in the plurality of mirrors is configured to reflect a first portion of the radiation in a first wavelength toward the remotely located radiation sensor. A second mirror in the plurality of mirrors is configured to reflect a second portion of the radiation in a second wavelength different from the first wavelength toward the remotely located radiation sensor. The first portion of the radiation and the second portion of the radiation can be selected to calibrate the remotely located radiation sensor so as to provide a quantitative spectral relationship between the radiation detected at the remotely located sensor and the radiation reflected by the plurality of mirrors.

A multi-directional sensor system includes a light source configured to generate a beam of electromagnetic radiation; and a transmitter configured to transmit the beam of electromagnetic radiation to a target. The transmitter may include (i) a plurality of optical fibers, wherein one or more of the optical fibers are configured to receive the beam of electromagnetic radiation, and (ii) a surface on which one end of each of the plurality of optical fibers terminate in a different direction and/or orientation thereof to emit electromagnetic radiation. A detector is configured to detect electromagnetic radiation responsive to electromagnetic radiation transmitted to the target. A method of sensing is also disclosed.

An electromagnetic radiation detection device (100) is described which includes a tunable dispersive optical element (130) configured to receive electromagnetic radiation and to change the dispersion of the received electromagnetic radiation; a sensor (150) configured to detect the dispersed electromagnetic radiation changed by the dispersive optical element; and a controller (160) configured to: (i) selectively tune the dispersive optical element so as to adjust the dispersion of the received electromagnetic radiation; and (ii) change one or more of operating parameters of the sensor (e.g. frame rate, integration period, and channel window subset) in accordance with the adjusted dispersion. In some implementations, the radiation detection device may be configured as a spectrometer to measure one or more properties of electromagnetic radiation. A method for detecting electromagnetic radiation is also disclosed.

A vibration control system includes a mechanical system which generates vibration; a sensor configured to measure the vibration and generate a vibration signal thereof, and a processor configured: (a) receive a vibration signal from a sensor in a mechanical system; (b) model the vibration signal using a time-domain function; (c) adjust one of an amplitude coefficient and a phase coefficient of the modeled vibration signal; (d) output a control signal corresponding to the modeled vibration signal to the mechanical system so as to reduce the vibration; and (e) receive another vibration signal from the sensor. Steps (c) - (e) are repeated when the average value of the vibration signal is greater than a predetermined value. A method for vibration control is also disclosed.
