Abstract:
The invention relates to a device in the form of a three-zone gasifier and to a method for operating such a gasifier. The aim of the invention is to provide a device which initiates a longer dwell time and an output increase of the gasification process, prevents method-related obstructions, displacements, and overfilling of the gasifier, organizes an intensification of the convective heat transfer into the carbon particles, ensures a stabilization of the gasification process, achieves a differentiated and greater processing and temperature stability, and produces a virtually completely tar- and dust-free raw gas. This is achieved in that the three-zone gasifier comprises a casing (4) which surrounds a gasifier trough (3), a gasifier lining (13) which is arranged over the gasifier trough (3) and is provided with an insulation (14), a gasifier head (17) which is arranged over the gasifier lining (13) and is provided with an insulation (14), and a gasifier free space (20) which is enclosed by the gasifier lining (13) and the gasifier head (17). The gasifier trough (3), the casing (4), the ejector shaft (6), the gasifier lining (13), and the gasifier head (17) are connected to one another in a gas-tight manner, at least one syngas discharge (16) is located in the upper part of the gasifier lining (13), and the gasifier trough (3) has a perforated base (35) with a contaminant discharge (5) and is surrounded by a separating gap (11) which opens into at least one ejector shaft (6). An encased truncated cone (21) is arranged in the region of the connection between the gasifier trough (3) and the gasifier free space (20), wherein the truncated cone is open at the upper and lower face of said cone, has a diameter which tapers in the direction of the gasifier head (17), and is placed over the gasifier trough (3) in the shape of a bell.
