Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of producing ammonia in an analogous pressure level ammonia synthesis loop. The method may comprise synthesizing a hydrocarbon gas or liquid feed to provide syngas; operating, in once through fashion, a first ammonia synthesis section at a first pressure level to process and synthesize the syngas and or a makeup gas into ammonia; recovering at least a first portion of ammonia from the first ammonia synthesis section; combining unconverted syngas from the first ammonia synthesis section with a recycle stream of a second ammonia synthesis section, wherein the second synthesis section operates at a second pressure level in a recirculating fashion, and the first pressure level and the second pressure level are the same, or analogous; and recovering at least a second portion of ammonia from the second synthesis section.

Abstract: A hydrocarbon production apparatus (1) includes a reverse shift reaction unit (2) obtaining a synthesis gas by using carbon dioxide and hydrogen, a hydrocarbon production unit (4) producing a hydrocarbon by using the synthesis gas, a gas-liquid separation unit (6) separating a gas component containing hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and a light hydrocarbon (C4-) and a liquid component containing a hydrocarbon from an effluent from the hydrocarbon production unit (4), a first separation unit (10) separating hydrogen and carbon dioxide, and a light hydrocarbon (C4-) from the gas component, and a catalytic reaction unit (8) generating hydrogen and carbon monoxide by using the light hydrocarbon (C4-) separated by the first separation unit (10). The reverse shift reaction unit (2) also uses the hydrogen and carbon dioxide separated by the first separation unit (10). The hydrocarbon production unit (4) also uses the hydrogen and carbon monoxide generated by the catalytic reaction unit (8).
