摘要:
A method and system of controlling auto-ignition timing in an internal combustion engine cylinder in which the timing of auto-ignition in prechambers (20a, 20b) that are coupled to the cylinder (10) is precisely controlled. The auto-ignition in the prechambers (20a, 20b) is produced by a compression stroke using pistons (23a, 23b) situated within the prechambers (20a, 20b). Hot gas jets produced by the prechamber auto-ignitions are introduced into the charge space of the cylinder and rapidly induce a second auto-ignition of the mixture in the cylinder. By precisely controlling the timing of the auto-ignitions within the prechambers, the timing of the auto-ignition within the cylinders can, in turn, be precisely controlled.

The invention relates to a method for controlling air-ratio-controlled combustion in a gas or oil burner. Such burners are commonly installed in heating appliances or heating tanks and are used, for example, to generate heat for residential heating and hot water. The aim of the invention is to provide a method for controlling combustion in a gas or oil burner, allowing air-ratio control over a wide power modulation range on the basis of existing characteristic maps. Sufficiently precise determination of the burner load is sought in particular, on the basis of which the use of the characteristic maps is made possible. The method should be carried out using simple and robust burner components. The method according to the invention for controlling combustion in a gas or oil burner is characterized by the steps of imposing at least one temporary change to the combustion air, fuel, or mixture flow; detecting at least one response signal associated with the change, measuring a time period between said change and the response signal, or between a first and second response signal; and controlling the combustion as a function of the measured time period and with respect to a target combustion value.

The invention relates to a method and a device for correcting the signal of a sensor (1) which allow as exact a drift compensation of a characteristic line of the sensor (1) as possible. At least one characteristic value of the signal of the sensor (1) is compared with a reference value. The signal of the sensor (1) is corrected depending on the result of comparison. The invention is characterized by producing a value derived from the signal of the sensor (1) for the at least one characteristic value of the signal of the sensor (1) as the reference value.
