    摘要: In a slab or strip conductor laser with mutually parallel electrodes (2, 4) forming a discharge chamber (5) between their facing flat sides (29, 49) in which there is a gas to be pumped, according to the invention the electrodes (2, 4) contain several sections (22, 24, 26 or 42, 44, 46) which are spatially separated from another at least over a part of their thickness (d). Here the electrodes (2, 4) are fitted in such a way that the movement of their flat sides (28, 48) away from the discharge chamber (5) caused by heat expansion is opposed by only a negligible mechanical resistance. This measure means that, even with large electrode areas, any distortion of the resonator caused by bending moments acting on the electrodes and caused by the effect of heat is reduced.

    摘要: According to the invention, the proposed laser welding head comprises a housing (2) in which are arranged an outlet aperture for a focused laser beam (6) and a flow duct (8) within the housing which runs past the outlet aperture (4) and carries a laminar gas flow (12) in the region of the outlet aperture (4). These features facilitate particularly efficient deviation of the molten material droplets thrown up during welding from the welded region towards the optical focusing system and thereby prevent fouling of the said optical system. The speed of the laminar gas flow in the region of the outlet aperture (4) will be preferably about 90 % of the speed of sound.
