    摘要: Tread structures, wave motion navigational controls, and ramp up recovery- controls are provided to an autonomous floor cleaner (12) to reduce wheel slippage. The floor cleaner delivers liquid to the floor as part of the cleaning process. Wheels on the device are provided with relatively deep peripheral grooves to minimize the contact surfaces of a sprocket wheel and to accommodate the layer of liquid on the floor. In the event of wheel slippage, or to prevent wheel slippage, the device is designed to move forward with a slight side-to-side wave action caused by periodically altering the relative speeds of two drive wheels. There is also provided a slippage recovery mode where the drive wheels shut down or greatly slow when severe slippage is sensed, followed by a slow ramp up of speed.

    摘要: An apparatus for dispensing a volatile substance includes an electromechanical d ispenser (2) attached to a pivot arm (29), and a cartridge (60) for holding a pl urality of reservoirs (31) each containing a volatile substance. The cartridge (60) is rotatable such that any one of the reservoirs (31) can be positioned in an engagement position, in which the volatile substance can be dispensed. The c artridge (60) has a cam feature consisting of a contoured circumferential surfac e that alternately rises and falls. The pivot arm (29) operates in tandem with the cam feature such that, when the cartridge (60) is rotated, the dispenser alt ernately engages and disengages from successive reservoirs (31), and remains out of the path of motion traversed by the reservoirs (31) as the cartridge (60) ro tates from one engagement position to a subsequent engagement position. The ele ctromechanical dispenser (20) may be a piezoelectrically actuated vibratory type liquid atomization apparatus, and the volatile substance may be a fragrance.

The bill of the first duckbill check valve is telescoped into and retained in the inlet of the second duckbilled check valve (e.g. by a jam fit or snap fit connection). These assemblies can be positioned in compact conduits such as those found in garden hose outlet nozzles.
