摘要: The invention concerns a method for bending glass sheets (2) heated to their softening temperature in horizontal position comprising the following features: the glass sheets (2) are heated to their bending temperature in a furnace, the glass sheets (2) are brought between a concave bending frame (4) whereof the shaping surface define a contour smaller than the dimensions of the glass sheets (2) and forms an upper convex shaping surface with solid surface (3), the glass sheets (2) are pressed between the bending frame (4) and the upper shaping surface (3) so that the glass sheets (2) take on at least in certain points the contour of the upper shaping surface (3) (press bending step 1); a final annular bending frame (5) whereof the shaping surfaces correspond to the final shape of the glass sheets (2), is brought into contact with the prominent marginal zones of the glass sheets (2) and the glass sheets (2) are pressed against the upper shaping surface (3) (press bending step 2); the glass sheets (2) whereof the bending is completed are subjected to a cooling or tempering treatment.
