The present invention comprises the steps of: displaying a UI element associated with an external device on a sub-region if the external device, located outside of a user terminal device, and the user terminal device are connected to be able to communicate with each other; and performing a function associated with the UI element in response to a user gesture selecting the UI element. Accordingly, interaction can be performed in various ways.
