摘要： The character printing apparatus according to the present invention, in which an input character string is printed on a print medium, includes: eligible-subject-component-character displaying means for displaying an eligible subject component character; subject-component-character selecting means for selecting a desired subject component character out of the eligible subject component characters; display control means for storing the desired subject component character, and causing a display portion to display a control symbol representing that the desired subject component character is inputted and an input position for an object component character in such a manner that the input position for an object component character is located immediately after the control symbol; judging means for judging, when a character to be combined with the subject component character is inputted, whether or not the input character is a character allowed to be combined with the subject component character; composing means for preparing a composite symbol by causing, when it is judged that the input character is a character allowed to be combined with the subject component character, the character thus judged to be displayed at the input position for an object component character as an object component character, and developing both a dot pattern of the subject component character stored in the input buffer and a dot pattern of the object component character in the same font developing area; and composite-symbol printing means for printing the composite symbol thus prepared.

摘要： A stamp-making apparatus is provided in which a transparent presser plate is arranged such that the presser plate is parallel with a stamp-making object material, an ink ribbon having a stamp image formed thereon is urged against the stamp-making object material via the presser plate, and exposure of the stamp-making object material to light is carried out via the ink ribbon as a mask. A ribbon feeder rolls out an ink ribbon wound around one end portion thereof to a position facing the stamp-making object material, and then rolls up the ink ribbon around another end portion thereof. A relative translation of the presser plate and the stamp-making object material is made toward each other by moving at least one of the presser plate and the stamp-making object material to thereby urge the ink ribbon against the stamp-making object material. Guide means guides the ink ribbon when the ink ribbon is fed, to space between the presser plate and the stamp-making object material. Tension of the ink ribbon is regulated in a manner linked to operation of the relative translation of the presser plate and the stamp-making object material made toward each other

摘要： Disclosed is a tape printing device that is capable of having set therein any one of a plurality of kinds of tape of different widths for performing printing on the set tape (T). The device comprises printing means (11) having a plurality of heat elements arranged in an array along the width of said set tape (T) wherein the plurality corresponds to the largest one among said different widths. Advancing means (41) are provided for advancing said set tape (T) relative to said printing means (11). Control means (21, 42, 43) are provided for selectively driving said heat elements (11a) and for controlling said advancing means (41) so as to print dots on said set tape (T). The control means (21, 42, 43) is adapted to select, according to the width of said set tape (T), whether the heat elements (11a) used for printing a column of dots along the width of said set tape are to be driven all at once or are to be grouped into a plurality of groups and the groups driven sequentially. Such grouping allows printing on a wide tape even if the power supply to the printing device has a limited capacity as is the case with a battery.
