摘要: In a field device (1) for use in an AS-interface network (2), the invention proposes implementing a different number of logic slaves (3) on the basis of the allocated address, which slaves can be addressed in the standard mode or in the extended addressing mode using the allocated address. It is thus possible to provide slaves having different profiles in a field device, which can be used to interchange different types of data. A method which can be used to address a field device having different slaves in a simple manner while avoiding double addressing is also proposed.
